The Pinion system
Extremely low-maintenance, durable and fully integrated – that’s the Pinion E-Drive System. It combines a motor, gearbox and gear shift in a powerful drive for long-term use. The result: 10,000 maintenance-free kilometres thanks to reliable “Made in Germany” vehicle technology.
The Pinion E-Drive System combines a powerful electric motor, proven gearbox technology and electronic gear shifting to form a perfectly coordinated package. The benefits: low maintenance, no significant wear and efficient shifting performance. For optimum weight distribution, the motor gear unit sits well protected directly above the bottom bracket. The rear wheel remains lightweight and stable without a cassette and rear derailleur; the suspension moves more freely. In terms of riding, this means: agility, comfort and excellent traction even at high speeds.
